Reflexology

One of the most ancient of complementary therapies is Reflexology - a therapy known to be used centuries ago by the Chinese, Egyptians and North American Indians who made use of it as a comprehensive method of treating the whole body.

Reflexology was introduced to the western world in the 1930's by Dr William Fitzgerald, since which time the techniques have been refined.

Geoff and Ali adopt a reflexology technique based on the teaching of Pat Morrell, with a gentle touch which not only helps to affect the physical body but also balances more subtle energy fields.

Morrell Reflexology is very gentle, using a minimal level of pressure to first stimulate and then sedate the whole body through reflex points located in the feet. This reflexologist technique treats the body, mind and spirit in a completely natural and holistic approach. The body is encouraged to find its own balance and harmony.Foxy's Fit for Five - Ali Fox Reflexologist

How reflexology may make you feel and what you can expect:

Each person does react differently to treatment by a skilled reflexologist, but by the end of a session you should feel more relaxed which in itself is an important factor in your recovery and wellbeing. Many clients benefit from enhanced sleep as a result of a treatment.

At the first session a detailed case history is taken. The treatment helps the body to self heal ailments or disorders.

Please wear warm, comfortable clothes as your body temperature may drop during a reflexology treatment, and be assured that you will only need to expose your feet.

The initial reflexology consultation and treatment should last about one and quarter hours, with subsequent treatments taking a maximum of one hour.
